If \(q + r + s = 45\), what is the value of \(qr\)?


\(\textbf{(1) }q = r = s\)

\(3q = 45\\\\
q = 15\\\\
r = 15\\\\
\\\\\\
qr = 225\)

Sufficient

\(\textbf{(2) }q − r − s = −15\)

\(q-(r+s) = -15\\\\
q+(r+s) = 45\\\\
2q = 30\\\\
q = 15\\\\
\\
r+s = 30\)

Insufficient as we cannot determine \(r\).

(A) statement 1 alone is sufficient, but statement 2 alone is not sufficient to answer the question
