What is the remainder when N is divided by 8?

(1) N is a product of four consecutive positive integers.
(2) N is a product of three consecutive positive integers: p, q, and r, among which p is even.

Quite straightforward D..

Let's see what each statement tells us...
1) N is product of 4 consecutive integers.
So these four integers will contain two even INTEGERS, one of which will surely will be multiple of 4 and other 2....
So their product will surely be multiple of 2*4=8
Suff

2) this too tells us exactly what statement I tells us. So p and r are even INTEGERS, one of which has to be a multiple of 2 and other 4
Sufficient..

D..

But are the statements compatible to each other, one may have to see apart from one example.. 24=1*2*3*4 or 2*3*4

I have a problem with Statement B. It's not clear whether p, q, r are consecutive numbers in that sequence. While we don't have a reason to believe other wise too, but it does bring an element of doubt. I marked A cause of this.

I think Statement B should be reworded for clarity and the difficulty level of the question needs to be brought down to 600-700 level.

I agree with you and the Q in whatever state is 600-700 level. You will come across these properties many times in other Q in more difficult manner.
