(1) If u = 90, u & w forms linear pair, this means w = 90, so the u-w=0
(2) Again, perpendicular means 90, u=w=90, thus u-w=0

I'm 99.9999% sure that the answer is B.

Statement 1) just says the value of one angle, you can't assume the value of the other.
Not Suff.
Statement 2) Makes clear reference to the relation of both values.
Suff.
