#1:
Line L doesn't intersect with the equation y = 1-x

quoting your line :
2 lines will not intersect only if both are parallel to each other.

how can we say that line L would be parallel to y=1-x ; ? what if they are in opposite quadrants , upon drawing line y=1-x (0,1), ( 1,0) we would notice its a downward slope (-ve) .. so for a line which doesnt intersect with eqn y=1-x will not necessarily be parallel IMO A is not sufficient..

Hey Archit3110

A) Even if the lines are at different quadrants, if you extrapolate the lines, they will intersect at a point. Two lines will not intersect ONLY if the lines are parallel.

#2
given Line L intersect with the equation y = x-1
so for a line which intersects with another line it would be perpendicular and product of their slopes would be -1 ;
IMO B should be sufficient

B) It's not required for the lines to be perpendicular to intersect each other. You can visualize this by drawing two lines that aren't perpendicular but intersect each other.

Cheers!
