At the first look, it would tell you that answer is E as both have a variable 'a', but always buy the values when you are combining two statements.
Slope is \(\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{3-a}{a-3}=\frac{-1(a-3)}{a-3}=-1\)
Thus slope is -1 and both statements combined are sufficient.
