What is the area of rectangular region ABCD ?

(1) The length of side AB is 1/3 the length of side BC.
(2) The perimeter of rectangle ABCD is 32.

A) Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B) Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C) BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D) EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E) Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

I answered B because if perimeter is 2lx2w = 32 couldn't we divide by 2 to get the area? However that is not the correct answer.

Thanks
Perimiter is given by 2(l+w) = p
thus l+w =p/2
And area of triangle i s l*w
Thus both statements are needed
