Shouldn't I think about the possibility that value of P & D can both be 0? (i.e, increase & decrease are 0%). In that case, option A becomes insufficient.

Question says "gives a discount on increased price" which means P cannot be zero.

What is the value is really big and the entire equation (1−p210000) becomes negative? Lets consider p = 1000000
In this case, answer A should be insufficient,

Someone please help with this
