A set consists of 10 positive integers. What is the standard deviation of the set?
(1) The sum of all integers of the set is 10 times the value of any integer of the set
10 times the value of any integer of the set is SAME, and this will happen only when all the integers are SAME.
So SD is 0.
(2) If all of the integers of the set are either multiplied or divided by 10, the standard deviation of the set does not change
If you add some value to all the elements of the set, the SD does not change. BUT multiplication by a number should change the SD.
If it still does not change, then the elements must all be the same.
So SD is 0
