QUES -> Is a-b>0
Statement 1-
a>(3/2)b
a>b+(1/2)b
a-b>(1/2)b
a-b can be positive or negative depending upon the value of b

Hence eliminate A and D

Statement 2 -
a> (1/2)b
Clearly insufficient like we saw in the statement 1

Combining the 2 statements -

Add the two inequalities (NOTE - WE CAN ADD TWO INEQUALITIES IF BOTH HAVE THE SAME SIGN)
On adding the two statements->
2a>2b
hence a>b
Option C is the best choice.

Thank you for reading.

Is a > b?

1) a > 1.5b

Possible values for a and b : (a,b) -> ( 0,-1)or (-1, -0.9) INSUFFICIENT

2) a > 0.5b

Possible values for a and b : (a,b) -> ( 0,-1)or (17, 32) INSUFFICIENT

Combining statement 1 and statement 2 = 2a > 2b or a>b (SUFFICIENT)

Answer C
