That year has 53 Sundays and 53 Saturdays.
See a normal year has 365 days meaning 52 weeks and 1 day
so we can have 52 '6 week names ( like Monday tursday) and only 1 weekname which has happened 53 times
the given statement suggests that THAT YEAR is a Leap year
the year cannot start with sunday
so it has to start with saturday
Hence the last day will be sunday
Hence A is sufficient

could you help with how to calculate this? I didnt understand how to solve this question
All I could understand is that 53 Saturdays and Sundays means its a leap year => leap years mean 366 days, and 2 days over 52 full weeks. Same interpretation for Statement II.
On analysing what I can understand further is that,
We need 53 saturdays AND Sundays,
Statement I: If we start the year with a saturday, it will end on Monday. But it will have 53 saturdays and sundays.
Statement II: It will end on starting day + 2
