We are asked : Did net proceeds exceed $80,000 by sale of 7600 tickets ?
Statement 1:
(1) The net proceeds exceeded $40,000 on 4,000 tickets sold.
selling 4000 tickets provided net proceeds > $40,000.
So, 1 ticket provided a net proceed > $10.
This value can be anywhere from $11 onwards ( if it’s an integer) to a larger sum.
Smaller value might yield result No, and greater value might yield an opposite answer for the same question - Did net proceeds exceed $80,000 by sale of 7600 tickets ?
Hence, Insufficient
Statement 2:
(2) The net proceeds exceeded $100,000 on $7,000 sold.
Based on the statement, it’s not clear to ascertain the per ticket cost - $7000 worth tickets can be from the sale of a 7000 tickets each worth $1 OR can be any other value.
Hence Insufficient
Combining also will not work in any way. Hence, Insufficient. Option E

i am a little confused with the wordings of the statement 2, is it 7000 tickets sold or 7000 dollars worth of tickets sold? latter however doesnt seem to make sense to me
