T + B + A = 16.
Each scored at least 1.
Also, B < T
Find: How many goals did Tom score?

(1) B<3
Either B=2 or B=1
Them A+T=14 or 15
There are many possibilities for T.
Insufficient

(2) A=12
B+T=16-12=4
If B=1 then A =3
If B=2, 3 then A=2,1 but it is given that B<T. So not possible.
Sufficient

B

All scored at-least 1 goal :
option 1:
Bela scored fewer than 3 goals. That means it can either 1 or 2 then that means tom scored atleast 3 or more goals. nothing conclusive. Not sufficient

option 2:
Amanda scored 12. Remaining 16-12=4. also we know Bela scored less goal than Tom. Now the only possible combination is 3 and 1. Which means Bela scored 1 and Tom scored 3. Only possible combination. Hence sufficient. (option B)
Bunuel
During a certain football season, Tom, Bela, and Amanda each scored at least one goal, and they scored a total of 16 goals. If Bela scored fewer goals than Tom scored, how many goals did Tom score?

(1) Bela scored fewer than 3 goals during the season.
(2) Amanda scored 12 goals during the season
