We need to find the ratio of (b/a) ?
Statement 1:
Last Tuesday, the total sale of all tickets for the showing was $4,800.
30a + 20 b = $4800
3a + 2b = 480
The values can be from a = 0 to 160, similar values of b = 240 to 0.
Hence, Insufficient
Stateement 2:
Last Tuesday, the ratio of total discounted ticket sale for the showing to the total regular ticket sale was 2 to 5.
Total discounted sale = 20b
Total regular ticket sale = 30a
20b / 30a = (2/5)
(b/a) = (3/5)
Hence, Sufficient

Let R = number of regular tickets ($30 each)
Statement 1: Total sale = $4,800
This gives us: 20D + 30R = 4800
Case 1: D = 60, R = 120 → Ratio D:R = 1:2
Case 2: D = 120, R = 80 → Ratio D:R = 3:2
