Is TOEFL mandatory for my profile?

Question

I am planning to apply to top 10 B-Schools for fulltime MBA.
I am working in USA for last 11 years, but studied in India. My bachelors and masters were taught in English.

Some universities state that if you completed your under-graduation from a university in a country where the official language is not English then you need to write TOEFL.

Few universities state that if you have been working in a English speaking country for a certain number of years then you are exempt from the language exam.

You can email the admissions for clarification.

For your profile Toefl is not mandatory. But there are chance that some coleges might need toefl. Why take a chance i u have time.

I have seen in many B'Schools' sites that TOEFL is not required for the students who have had their college education in English. I did my UG in english and is TOEFL is mandatory for my B'School application. If yes would like to know about the books that are useful for preparation. How much time is required for preparation? What is the score expected by the B'Schools? Thank you.

As a basic rule is that if either your undergraduate or graduate degree was conducted in English, then most schools will not require that you take TOEFL. Although I know that taking an additional standardized test can be viewed as a waste of time, taking the exam may actually be advantageous to some applicants - particularly if you did not do great on the verbal portion of the GMAT and did well on TOEFL. Instead of just looking at the TOEFL as an unnecessary nuisance, look upon it as a possible strategic advantage to your application.
