Hey everyone!
So I just received my TOEFL scores earlier this morning. I scored 102 (R26-L27-S24-W25). I needed a minimum of 27 in writing to make it equivalent to 7 of IELTS. The detailed comments I received are as follows
Writing based on reading and listening Good(4.0 - 5.0)
You responded well to the task, relating the lecture to the reading. Weaknesses, if you have any, might have to do with
-slight imprecision in your summary of some of the main points and/or
-use of English that is occasionally ungrammatical or unclear.
Writing based on knowledge and experience Good(4.0 - 5.0)
You responded with a well-organized and developed essay. Weaknesses, if you have any, might have to do with
-use of English that is occasionally ungrammatical, unclear, or unidiomatic and/or
-elaboration of ideas or connection of ideas that could have been stronger.
Do you think I should go for a re-score for $80? Is it worth it? Anyone with any past writing rescore experience?

Hi, and compliments for your excellent score.
In my opinion, it is more than enough. Moreover, almost all Universities have a cut-off on listening score section which is 25. You do have obtained 24 . Therefore. it is perfectly fine. This is the only tiny cons I see in your score.
Overall, there is no necessity to retake. My opinion.

As far as I know, writing is scored by an automated program and rechecked by a human. So, some say it is a waste of money. Check here:
