I was recently admitted into the MAcc programme at USC as well as the MSA program at UIUC. I was offered a 25% scholarship at USC, but the fees at UIUC is still, overall lower.
Since I am an international student, I am not too familiar with the living conditions at both places, ans I cannot make up my mind on where to go.
I was also told that saying that I received a scholarship on my CV would reflect well.
Could anyone please tell what the job prospects are in California and Illinois, and what the difference is salaries could be if hired at a Big 4. As it stands, I will have had just under 3 years of experience at a big 4 before entering the graduate program.
I would also be grateful if anyone could give me their thoughts on the above mentioned programs, and points to bear in mind when making the final decision.

First off Congratulations they are both very good schools. UIUC is better ranked. I suggest for you to look into the curriculum in each school, and the location of what suits you better. Illinois can be quite cold while California will be warmer not sure where you are from.
I would think that since UIUC is a preferably better school and you say the tuition fees are still lower therefore I might go there. You have some Big 4 experience already and that should help as well. I think either way you should be good, both are great schools. Also think about where you want to work after graduation. I wouldn't worry too much about the scholarship on the CV but that's just me.
Salaries should be relatively the same both for Chicago and LA.
Do you mind sharing your stats? I am applying to both programs next fall. PM me?
