Great for you! Congrats! :-D
I'll keep you posted about my admission... I'm applying for the 50% singapore/50% cergy program.
Did you get any insight or further information about the quality of the program?

Thanks. I chose the 100% English track at Cergy.

I talked to a couple of SMIB students and they said that students having a business background might find some of the classes very basic. So if you have an engineering background you stand to gain the most. Secondly, there are a lot of electives on offer. However, its advised that you don't take many electives in the first semester and concentrate on the core courses. You also have the option of taking part in an ESSEC Chair and specializing in a specific industry. You can find info on Chairs on the ESSEC site. Do note that not all ESSEC Chairs are on offer each year for SMIB.

I finally got admitted to ESSEC SMIB program , but also to the ESCP Madrid Campus MS Strategy & Organisation Consulting Program.

I do have a business background (bachelor of business administration, working in finance for almost 3 years) and I think that is making me think about if it is worth it spending a full semester taking subjects I have already taken in my undergraduate education... though it would not be a bad idea to get a refresh from them, and from other perspective (european) for sure!

I get the impression that the SMIB is a very good program, and you see on their FB page that people are getting hired!
On the other hand, there is not much info on the ESCP program. It seems like a top program but I think there is not much track record about it... gotta look into it.

SMIB in ESSEC is very weak programm. It costs a huge money, but it is not worth attending it. Really disappointed about lost time and money.

What do you mean? Could you please elaborate? Why do you think it’s not worth attending?

The content of lectures is very weak. A lot of bla-bla-bla without concrete ideas, nothing really useful to learn for future professional experience.
The professors are not native English speakers, a lot of Indian teachers with terrible accent in English, impossible to hear.
Considering the fees the students pay, it is rediculous, this programm.
A lot of complains from students about lectures quality.
Probably last years something changed, and became better. Don't know.
Really dissapointed about this programm. Lost of time & money.

Thank you for replying. Can I please ask you one more question? Did you study there? If not, where is this feedback coming from?

Thank you for responding, katy89. May I please ask about the companies visiting on campus? Because the site says over 300 companies visit their campus giving students the opportunity to network and secure full time positions after company project.

Did you have previous work experience before joining the course? Are they lying on their placement records then? It would be very helpful if you could reply. Thanks in advance :-)

I found out about the SMIB after seeing that it was one of the top Master in Management programs in the QS rankings. Having studied at ESSEC, and I feel it is absolutely the right choice. We have a great curriculum, which is really practical and everything is linked to the industry. We have case studies from different industries, and this helps to widen our perspectives. The lecturers whom I have had classes with are all professional, with at least 10 to 20 years' of teaching experiences. They are very open to challenges, which allows us to have many engaging exchanges during our courses. In the end, we can link all the knowledge we have learned and use it to strengthen and complement our own set of skills. Our classmates are also from different backgrounds, generating lots of innovation thanks to diversity. I found it so interesting discussing with them. Not to mention the career events; there are so many opportunities thanks to the ESSEC network! As a non-French speaker, I even got my internship offer 3 months before we finish our classes.

Is SMIB Essec Singapore campus good enough? I have an offer from them. Cannot decide because I have an offer from Warwick Business School as well for a Masters in Business with Consulting course.
Could anyone suggest.

Hey, I am planning to apply for the Master in Strategy & Management of International Business (SMIB) program. Can someone let me know if there is any weightage of work experience while applying? Also, what is the average GMAT/GRE and years of experience of a class?

I got admitted to the SMIB program for this year's intake (M1 year starting at the Cergy campus). I definitely cannot say how much weightage work experience or what a safe test score would be. I know of an individual who had a 700 gmat and got rejected and an acceptance at a 650 too. Apologies to be cliched, but it really depends on the whole profile. The higher the score the better.

Regarding the work experience, as you must be aware, SMIB used to be an advanced masters and has started to be taught as a Masters program since 2020-21. Depending on your work experience, you may choose to apply to enter the M1 year, which sets the foundations for your business fundamentals and adds professional experience with the 3-6 month internship, or apply to enter the M2 year.

I really found the website, the brochure and the videos uploaded there to be sufficient to know more about the program.
Here's the link: https://www.essec.edu/en/program/mscs/m ... -business/

Further, in case you're applying before the March 1 deadline, you can also join this Q&A session I just saw on the website! Here's the link: https://info.essec.edu/20220217-MasterS ... ce=Website

I hope this was helpful. In case you require any more admissions related query, feel free to reply on this thread.

Goodluck!!
