After my Graduation in Engineering(IT)(I am currently in final year), If I don't take a job and prepare for CFA Level 1 exam and then apply for Master of Finance in foreign universities after a year, will it affect my application in a negative way?

In my opinion, it would be better than not doing anything for a year. Also try to take Level 1 in Dec and 2 in June to demonstrate serious interest. Ideally, also try to land a Finance internship during this period

You are on the right track - For MFin applications, CFA does act as a major profile booster. Being one of the toughest exams to crack, having a level 2 or 3 on your resume will act as a differentiator.

This being said, note that MSc Finance is an extremely competitive program so along with CFA, mention other activities ( extra-curricular involvement, finance internships, papers published.etc) to further boost your chances.

If you want a better idea on what kind of activities will account for a competitive profile, I would suggest you to take this profile evaluation here: https://mim-essay.com/profile-evaluation?gcf
