Hey guys,
since I still have a few months before the first round of application for my intakw I would like your evaluation so I can try to strengthen my profile. I am targeting the top 10 European CEMS’s partner with RSM being my first choice.
GPA: 28.25/30 ---> since the Italian system is different than most, internationally it should be translated as a 4/4
GMAT: I still didn't take it, I am studying for it and I am around 680
Work Experience: I only worked in my family business, as a manager in a small shop and as an assistant for a Consul. I will start a 9-month internship at the UN in September.
Other experiences: I have co-founded and directed 2 associations that work in social entrepreneurship and improvement of local communities. I also did 3 months of volunteering in South America (where I lived for 2 years finishing my two last years of high school)
Languages: I speak Italian and Spanish at the C2 level and English at the C1 level (all certified) and I am currently studying Portuguese and will live in Brasil for 6 months.
Education: I did a scientific high school, half in Italy and half in South America. I am currently studying in an interdisciplinary bachelor where we study business, social sciences, economics and engineering. I will specialize in business in my third year.

Overall you have a pretty impressive profile. Let's take a look at what works for you and what you can do to improve your selection chances.
Your GPA looks good. You have not mentioned your college rank, keep a note that for Tier-1 schools like HEC prefer to recruit from the top 20 colleges of the applicant’s country, so having a good college rank comes in handy. In case it is below 25, you will need to focus on aspects that compensate for it.
Extracurriculars are pretty impressive as well. International exposure, Entrepreneurship experience, social volunteering are strong points that can be highlighted. Just make sure that you are highlighting the right experiences - A lot of applicants pick up experiences pretty randomly , hence they face rejection despite having a good profile. So make sure that you are judicious about this. Essays are a great place to showcase your story, so think about how you can connect the dots and showcase yourself as an ideal student for the school’s program.
Work experience is decent enough. However, I feel that you are under-selling your experience while working in your family business. Working as a manager implies a position of responsibility which schools value. So, this can be an application asset if portrayed properly.
Now, coming to your target schools, you have mentioned that RSM is your top priority. You have a pretty good profile, so I would say that RSM, Bocconi, ESADE come in the competitive category. HEC can be your dream school, whereas SSE and Copenhagen can be bucketed under safe schools.
Aim for a 690+ GMAT, would help your chances substantially.

My university is in the top 15 of my country, I didn’t know that it was important for admission that’s why I didn’t put it in.
I think that 700 will be my score at the GMAT considering that I have a pretty busy schedule and not much time to study.
I am currently working on my CV with our course consultant and I’ll tell him about the work in my family business. I also have reccomendation letters from prominent professors in their field, both teach at Harvard and have one several prizes, do you think that it is something business school take into consideratiom?
