Hi there!

I've recently started prepping for the GMAT and would like to know if anyone knows a good target score for the MSc in Strategy, Innovation & Management Control at WU Vienna.

I graduated in 2015 with an honors undergrad (Bachelor of Business Science, focus in Marketing) from the University of Cape Town (supposedly the best in Africa, top 120 in world) and got a 3.5/4 GPA (A-) . Since then, I have been running a business that I started during my uni studies.

Based on the above (good marks, good experience), how high do I need to score on the GMAT?

I did a practice test and got 640. I only have about 6 weeks to prepare (I want to apply in Oct, need to write in Sept) and I don't have that much time each day to study since I am quite busy.

Would a 640 cut it? Do I need to aim a bit higher? I obviously will put in prep time, but I just want to know how high I need to shoot.

Any comments or advice would be great! :please

Hi, Welcome to GMATClub. For the mentioned programme 550 score is enough. If you are not having GMAT score, they have other option also via their ow exam.

Hey JamesLanger, while 550 is the minimum score required for this program, I always advise applicants to go for 650+ when it comes to applying to top German Schools. The rest of your profile looks good -GPA, UG Rank (More information needed on the extra-curriculars part though). I would especially like to mention your Entrepreneurial experience- WHU is known as an Entrepreneur's school so the school would definitely be interested in this aspect of your profile. Make sure that you highlight the right data points from this experience.
You mentioned that you were targeting the Oct'18 Deadlines, did you apply?
I have some free resources for both the WHU MSc application as well as the WHU interview rounds - I will be happy to share the same if you tell me where you are in the application cycle :)

I have tried to get the info from the internet but couldn't :cry:

I got an interview for SIMC this year (I'm doing CEMS though) and during the process I was told to aim for 650+ !

Hello, Congratulations on getting in. I am thinking about studying SIMC from WU Vienna. Just wondering why you changed from SIMC to CEMS.
