Hello everyone!
I’ve got the following problem:
I want to apply to HEC for the 2020 September intake of the MiM program.
They have 4 application rounds. To still make the deadline for round 3 I would need to take the GMAT in about two weeks.
By that time I think I would probably score somewhere between 650 and 670.
The other option is to wait another month, apply in the fourth and last round and hope that by then I can rank up in the high 600s.
However, my overall profile isn’t the strongest either way.
I’m from a no-name German university (Ludwigshafen), have a GPA of 3.6 and a BSc in Int. Business Management. I speak Japanese as a 3rd language (B2-C1, with certification) and I know a little French (A2-B1, no certification). Experience-wise I did a gap year in New Zealand after school, worked in Marketing as a working student during the last year of my Bachelor‘s degree (10 months) and am currently halfway through an 8-month internship at Mitsubishi Fuso in Japan.
Therefore my question: Do you guys think I have a better chance when I apply with a lower GMAT in round 3, or with a slightly higher GMAT in round 4?
Your opinions and thoughts on this would help me a lot. Thanks in advance and greetings from Kawasaki, Japan.
