Hi!
I know it might sound silly but I'm not clear on defining my short term professional objectives. As in, since I haven't worked in the finance sector, I am not particularly familiar with the jargon of the industry. I did my undergrad degree in Finance, and I am very passionate about it. I want to pursue Master in Finance, and will be applying in R3/R4 for fall 2020. I'm almost done with much of my essay, but I'm finding it hard to hit the bulls eye as far as defining short term professional objectives is concerned.
I want to work as a research analyst or financial analyst after MSF degree. I want to work for a few years in the US, and learn the nitty gritty of finance. After that I want to work at a reputable financial consultancy in the senior role, or in an investment bank. Eventually, after five to seven years of working abroad, I want to start my own consultancy in my home country, and build upon my international experience.
What I wrote above might sound not so sharp. So, could experts please make suggestions as to how can I improve. Thanks.

Your goal should be to get a position with a financial firm that will allow you to put your education into practice and give you tangible experience so you can advance in this chosen path or go off and start your own firm. I would hesitate talking about starting your own firm as this is far off (IMO, you don't have enough experience to provide value for at least a decade, if not longer).
Right now, with your experience, you are trying to get an analyst role at a bank (investment banking, credit analyst, research associate, etc.). Your education will provide you with the understanding necessary to be successful in these entry level roles where you will incorporate academic knowledge along with real world applications.
The goal with these essays is to show that you have some form of understanding and plan on how you are going to use this education to get a job. These schools want employed graduates. Something about a job and a paycheck that improves reviews of the program. Keep the essay focused on the short term and if you want you can include long term ideas towards the end.

Btw, I did some research and came across this interesting role known as Quantitative Researcher. It really intrigued me. I was wondering if I could say that I want to be a quantitative researcher after graduating from the given school. Do you think it’s okay to say that, given that my undergrad degree is in finance (tho, I’m not known to computer science)?
