Profile evaluation for LSE MSc in Strategy & Management

Question

Hello there,
Can someone please evaluate my chances to get into LSC for MSc in Strategy & Management program. 
I have a GRE score of 329, with graduation degree in Computer engineering (2:1). I also have MBA from UK and have 1 year of work experience in Investor Relations. I have plenty good Extra-circulars. 
I will of course work on my SOPs & LORs. And will try to have them the Best!
I'm planning to apply in this September intake, can some one please evaluate my profile?

I remember evaluating your profile earlier. And as I advised last time, you must develop a strong narrative so as not to come across as someone who has not put much thought behind the decisions taken and is now looking for another exit route. The LSE Ms in Strategy & Management is a competitive program to get into and calls for a more academic appreciation of the métier from the applicants. With an undergraduate background in computer science, an MBA, and work experience in investor relations, it could get challenging for you to explain the relevance of your education, work, and experience to this program. Therefore you must first evaluate your fit with the program and then present a strong case for your candidacy. And before you do that, you must discuss with an expert what career path you wish to pursue in the short/mid-term so that you can be presented with some suitable options/programs.

I agree with the other post. Why do you need this degree, particularly with an MBA already in hand? It seems awfully odd. If you can reassure us (and really, the AdCom) that having a MsC in Strategy & Management not only fills a void but also advances your career, then I suppose you can apply. I would be highly skeptical as I am fairly confident the MBA would cover these disciplines.

Hello,

- Background and nationality: Indian Female, 24 years old

- Undergrad Information: BCom from University of Mumbai (CGPA : 6.65/7.00)

- GMAT: aiming for 700+ (will give in a month)

- Work experience: 3 years in Statutory audit. Currently working as an Equity Research Analyst in a startup.

- Community and others: Volunteered at National Association for the Blind, Rotaract club of Bombay and currently student mentor at The Lighthouse Project

- Extracurriculars: 3 years dance at Terrence Lewis Academy, Captain of school and college throwball teams, also represented my school in basketball and handball. Committee member of college festivals.

- post master goals: consulting or IB

- Anything else: I am looking to make a career transition from accounting and auditing. My main insecurity is the fact that I will already have 4 years work ex in total by the Sept 2023 intake. Also, I am not yet fully committed to either full finance or consulting as you can also tell from my post masters goals. Do you think the unis will weigh these two as major factors?
I am also an ACCA, UK student. Have completed 2 groups of the same.

svat13 : You really must do well on the GMAT to give yourself a shot at some of these top programs. If you can pull off the 700+ that will really help. I am less thrilled with your extracurricular activities. They are good, just not stellar. You should be fine since you have significant work experience which will count more (in your favor) than extracurricular activities. It's fine if you're not committed to finance or consulting, but you really should pick a path for the admissions process itself. You can always change your mind once you start a program. The key is to demonstrate you have given serious thought to a pathway in this snapshot in time. The unis want to see if you can come up with a pragmatic and aspiration plan.
