From someone who got an MBA and then went on to pursue a MAcc, I would say that having both will be beneficial in the long run. It is best to have a few years' experience before getting an MBA. Inexperienced MBAs are NOT well regarded or taken seriously in the job market, a fact I learned the hard way. I went on to a MAcc because I had too much trouble finding a job with my MBA (I got it right after finishing my BA). I am trying to get on with one of the Big 4, where I want to work my way up to senior audit manager, and if it doesn't look like I'm on the partner track then I will parlay my skills to the highest bidder in the private sector. Or perhaps open my own consulting and accounting/financial services firm.
