Hi, I am applying to MACC programs for entry Fall 2010. Can someone give me an idea of my chances at acceptance?
Undergrad: Top 100 private school (per USNews)
GPA: 3.65 (over a 3.8 in my major)
GMAT: 680 (44q, 40v)
Major: Accounting
Gender/Race: Female/Caucasian
Graduating in May, 2010.
Work experience: I had two 6-month co-op internships (full-time work). One was in finance and the other in investment accounting, both at a top finance firm. I've also had about 3 months of full-time summer work with a small insurance company doing accounting work (mostly ledger balancing, journal entries, etc).
I am looking at: Texas, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington U (Olin), and Boston College.
Also, the programs at WashU and Vanderbilt look great on paper but are not ranked. Anyone have an idea of how well these programs are received by firms?
Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!
