I'm not familiar with the MGMAT practice test - except that the OG one is considered most accurate.

To improve your verbal - there are many things you can do. Go through answers to questions you got wrong - reanswer them as you would starting the question from scratch - visualizing mentally that you are seeing it for the first time. Visualize and rerun your thinking process to improve your speed and efficiency. Create a framework for that type of question and be able to spot it within seconds upon seeing it again in a different question.

Repeat and repeat. Learn the framework and attack strategy for:
- sentence correction - https://www.gmatpill.com/preview/
- reading comprehension - https://www.gmatpill.com/practice-questi ... -guide-rc/
- critical reasoning - https://www.gmatpill.com/the-gmat-pill-m ... customers/

Then apply your new thinking process and you might notice a change in your approach and ultimately your score.
