Hi all,
Just some stats for me to begin with:
-Using
MGMAT (Recently acquired a Powerscore CR because didn't seem like the
MGMAT CR strategy was working for me)
-CAT #1 (diagnostic): 570
-CAT #2: 640 (Q44, V34)
-CAT #3: 600 (Q40, V33)
-CAT #4: 600 (Q39, V34)
After a thorough analysis of my CATs to figure out my strengths and weaknesses, I created a list of topics I am weak in for each section.
CR: Weakening, Inference
SC: Comparisons, parallelism, Idioms
RC: specific detail
Quant: (fractions decimals percentages), geometry (lines, angles & polygons mostly), Algebra (inequality mostly) & RUNNING OUT OF TIME
Now with these topics, I went back to each strategy guide and spent quality time to review the concepts thoroughly and tested my knowledge using OG problems. I timed myself strictly. Gave myself about 90 sec for SC, and 120 sec for Quant & other Verbal questions.
Until I take another CAt at the end of this week, I plan on doing timed problem sets (to manage pacing) for Quant & doing timed problem sets for Verbal (with a mix of questions to improve agility). I seem to miss RC questions not beacuse I don't understand the passage, but because I'm tired & lose focus after a series of CR questions.
I plan on taking another CAT at the end of this week, but am I on the right track with my prep? I'm scheduled to take the GMAT in 4 weeks, and I want to make sure I am utilizing my time efficiently!
I appreciate any feedback you guys can give me. Thank you!
