Hi.
I'm planning to send in my MBA applications in mid-late 2014 (for 2015 fall). Right now I have a little bit of slack time at work (later part of the year usually is) so I was hoping to finish off my GMAT in nov 2013.
My question is, before writing GMAT you CAN select up to 5 schools. Say I wanted to apply to 5 schools and I select them before writing GMAT. 2014 aug/sep, I apply to those same 5 schools. IN that case, will I have to resend my GMAT scores to them at the time of application?
I understand that should I change my school preference list or add more schools, I have to send the GMAT scores adding ~$25-30 per school. But I am asking about applying to the same 5 schools that I now choose - will I have to resend GMAT scores?
Also, does the answer apply to TOEFL scores as well??

Great question! You will not need to resend your scores. Once the schools have received your scores, they will keep them on file for 5 years. You do not need to apply in the same year that you send in your scores.
I think that your plan to take the GMAT now, while you have some downtime, is an excellent one.
