Hi!
I just took my first CAT to get a feeling of the test before I dig into it full-time for 2-3 months.
I got 580 (Q38, V31)
I MUST get at least 680, but I need to get into the 700s to be sure I will be admitted to the programs I am going for.
Is it within reach? Or do I need more time than just 2 months?
I am up for doing whatever necessary for reaching the goal.
If 12 hours per day is required, then I will beat it 12 hours a day.
The quant score is very disappointing indeed, but I think it is mere a result of not fully interpreting the data sufficiency concept.
I have done several heavy finance and statistics classes in my undergrad degree with good results, but I have to admit that my basic math skills (especially geometry) from high school is a little rusty. So my quant skills is obviously the first thing that should be reinforced. My goal is at least a quant score of 48.
I am not a native english speaker, and therefore I find the verbal section challenging.
But I did my undergrad in english (and delivered the necessary TOEFL score for admission), so I am not struggling with the particular language, but rather the grammar rules.
In your opinion, what study plan should I follow for the next two months in order to break into the 700s?
