I just took my GMAT exam today after 5 weeks of studying several hours a day. I have completed OG 13 and quant review and a proportion of the verbal review book. WHen I was practicing the questions in the OG, my hit rate was typically getting more than 70%. I am especially disappointed by my verbal score of 30 as I have not scored 30 during any of my CATs. This is the lowest score I have received for verbal so far and I really can't understand what happened. I am wondering what is the best strategy to improve my verbal score within a short time. I think my verbal needs to be improved significantly to stand any chance of getting anywhere 700.
Any tips on how to improve quant would be appreciated too. I know that I was running out of time for quant hence I started guessing questions and then I realised the quant questions were becoming easier and I knew I messed that section up. I have been through
MGMAT quant guides and SC.
During my manhattan CATs, my quant score has been consistently lower than my verbal which I can't understand compared to my actual score.
My undergraduate degree was in medicine so I have been out of touch with quant and verbal for a while. I am still really disappointed by verbal score and I don't think I have ever found an exam to be as tough as the GMAT. This exam has been a shock to my system and I am really lost and confused as to what to do next.
I am beginning to feel disheartened that maybe I should just give up on my dreams.
I really hope that I can improve my score so as to get into my dream school. Any advice is appreciated as I am desperate! I would really appreciate some advice from anyone out there.
