I'm a marketing professional with 7 years of hands on experience in the area of marketing, i have already done my MBA but the institute is not Tier 1. I'm looking forward for an MBA programme kindly suggest which programme shall i take and from which college.

Be aware that you are asking this question to GMAT experts, not MBA admission experts. We will give you tons of advice to help you get the GMAT score you need to enter the program of your choice. We will give you some advice on where you could apply, but really that is not our area of expertise. For that you need to search out an admissions consultant to help you with this question.

Hi Akashyap13,

I posted those questions to help you start to define the specific type of program that would fit your goals/needs. Kyle is correct that choosing which Business Schools to apply to isn't something that anyone here should be advising you about. Once you know exactly what your'e looking for though, you should be able to search for it online. As it stands, your initial answers to my general questions are rather vague - it does not sound like you know exactly what you're looking for. That's okay for right now, but part of the application process requires that you to define WHY you want to attend a specific School/Program - and it's easier for a Business School to invite you if the Admissions Officers know that your goals are a match for what the School provides.

Rich i totally agree with you and kyle i'm trying to figure out how shall i answer these questions and that is the reason i posted my query.
Had i known what to do i had never asked this question , i need to be certain what course i wanna opt which college i shall consider and these things happen only when i know my basic question, it's not that i have not googled my query but there is no substantial report of helpful material to support my thought or decision.

if any one can suggest me the way forward it will be of great help...

Thanks to all for your valuable feedback and time.

After studying for a month now by my own i have figured out that my Quant: sucks big time, after completing a month now i have started to feel a grip over the basics and now moving forward Quant questions.Every time I move forward thinking now i'am almost there, I face super some super difficult questions and they make no sense to me. How can I improve?

Verbal : is not that bad but again i'm brushing on my basics but that only will not help.

SO i have no strong areas as of now and i have not been able to give it much time to solve the equations from the prep books.

The last time i had touched mathematics was in 10th grade since then it's now when i have started with it back again an back then i had a phobia over mathematics.
My English is good somehow i have started to struggle with my Grammar but will make it through.

I want to take mock test can someone suggest me from where i shall take for free as i have wasted Gmac & Manhattan Mock test.
I want to join GMAT coaching in south delhi if someone can help me with good centres who are ready to work with students like me or have dealt with students like me in past.

I'm working hard will work even harder just need guidance.

Hi Akashyap13,

It was not clear from your prior post that you still had to study for the GMAT. It's clear from this post though that you have only really just begun your studies and that you still have a lot of work to do. Most Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time to prepare for the GMAT; during that time, it's common to spend 10-15 hours per week (or more) on the process.

What is your score goal?
When are you planning to take the GMAT?

Did you take the GMAT before your prior MBA? If so, then what were your scores?

Thanks for your reply.

I have not taken a GMAT prior, My MBA did not require GMAT or CAT scores and moreover i can not appear for CAT exams.
I'm planning to take my GMAT by Jul'15 Maximum.
My Target score is 730.

Currently I'm investing 3 hours a day ( Morning 1 Hour & Evening 1.5 to 2 Hours) working on My basics of Mathematics & Grammar.

Tried to solve some equations from GMAT official book but not getting through.

Hi Akashyap13,

If you can take the GMAT as late as July, then you have plenty of time to study and improve. It's important not to waste time though, as many Test Takers end up needing to spend MORE time than they initially plan for (and sometimes have to take the GMAT more than once). If you do end up taking the GMAT more than once, it's important to remember that you have to wait 31 days between Official Tests, which can impact your timeline.

If you have not yet done so, you should plan to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT soon. You can download 2 free CATs from www.mba.com. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to do the full CAT in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here.

Is there anything specific i shall be working over to improve my learning abilities.

Hi Akashyap13,

There are a number of *free* CATs available from various companies, so finding a few more to practice with should not be a problem. It might be helpful to look at this whole process as an 'investment' in your future and not something that you should try to do without spending money. With a strong GMAT score and the right profile, you could receive thousands (possibly 10s of thousands) of dollars in scholarship money. Trying to save a bit of money now when the potential future rewards are so great seems like a questionable way to approach this overall process.

Dear richie,

I agree with you completely and do not have any hesitance in investing for a brighter future, there are so many test papers available online which one is good how do we quantify?

Can so suggest something for me which takes me from the bottom to the Top all level of test samples.
