GMAT ADAPTIVE NATURE...!!!

Question

Hi Everyone I have a doubt. I need to know how the graph goes up and down in the exam. :?:

The cats and the actual exam, which i gave. What i saw was some east questions at in the middle and at the end. Was it that i was wrong in the previous questions. I am confused about the adaptive nature of GMAT. :roll:

I wana know how actually this stuff works. Experts may have understood what actually i am in search for. :idea:

Please elaborate on this issue. I am curious to know :idea:

In my experience, trying to guess the level of the question during the exam is a big NO.
During my final attempt, I was thoroughly enjoying myself without a care in the world. The questions came and they went; I was too busy having fun answering them than thinking about the difficulty or what I am likely to score at the end. In the retrospect, I think it was this attitude that got me my 750.

My advice - ignore the whole thing altogether ^_^

But, this is my perspective. You are welcome to explore the possibilities if time is a luxury.

i like your way of expressing the thoughts.
Also i liked your post on your Gmat experience.
I'll hold on to your advice and i think you are right because thinking about the previous questions just distracts you.
Moreover i'll give my 2nd attempt within a month or 2.
Let's c what happens..!!!

Don't let the adaptive nature of the test psych you out! While the test generally gives you a more difficult question after you answer an easier one correct -- that's not always the case. There are experimental questions (questions that do not count) -- and what you think is difficult might not be difficult for someone else. And there's also an element of randomness.

So it's good to know the underlying structure of an adaptive test -- but you cannot let this knowledge affect you psychologically. Instead, your psychology should be one of "throw many ANY kind of question -- and I will tear it apart"----instead of "this one seems really easy -- did I just get the last one wrong?"
