Hello all,
I was recently introduced to this site by enigma123 (he noticed I was studying the GMAC official guide in a hotel lobby) and he said that this site helped him achieve his high score. Some background - I've already taken the GMAT to get into an integrated masters program at the University of Oklahoma but I didn't study at all and my low score reflects that (590). I am re-taking the exam partially because the low score annoys me but also because I am planning on going back to school for an MBA after a few years of work experience.
I want to take the exam sometime in august and I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance on which materials to buy. I just completed the official guide and I am now looking for something I can study 3-4 hours a day for the next month or so. I don't remember my exact quant/verbal scores but the quant score was significantly lower than the verbal.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Tim,
I'd like to know a bit more about how you've been studying and your goals:
1) When you say that you've been working through the OG, what are you doing exactly? Are you pulling out random questions? Are you working through each section in order?
2) What is your score goal?
3) Is there any particular reason why you want to take the GMAT in August? Could you push that date back if necessary?

Hello Rich,
Thank you for the quick response.
1. I actually just sat down and went through the entire OG page by page and worked all of the problems.
2. I would love to get into the 700 range if at all possible. The first time I took it I hadn't reviewed any math/geometry etc at all so hopefully I would do a little better already. I remember at one point during the exam I couldn't remember the pythagorean theorem if that says anything..
3. I want to take it in august because I am applying for bank/advisory jobs and for the most part they ask about GMAT scores since I am already in the integrated bach/masters program. They usually recruit pretty early in the school year and I want to take it before I go into interviews. So I guess I could push it back but it wouldn't be optimal.
