You have to remember to include the number 200 (which IS a multiple of 5). By calculating (500-200)/5 you actually REMOVED the 200 from consideration.
Here's a simple example of this concept. If you read pages 2 through 5 (inclusive) in a book, then how many pages have you actually read?
It's NOT 3 pages. You have read pages 2, 3, 4 and 5... that's a total of 4 pages.
This is often referred to as a 'fence-post' problem/calculation (since you have to be sure to count the first 'post' and last 'post'). The general 'formula' for these types of calculations is:
(Bigger Number) - (Smaller Number) + 1 = Total
