how to improve from 650 to 750

Question

Hi All,

I am writing my Exam on 3rd Sept. Currently my score varies b/w 610-650. I joined Priceton Review and following the same. My classes are over now but still i am getting only 650. in my last attempt i got 650 (verbal-33 quant-47).
i want to increase this at least to 750 with in two months. I am aiming mainly to get into ISB.
I already planned to take 1 test per week and that too on the same time as my real exam timings.
I will give tests mentioned in one of GmatClub's link (free tests of every site)
I am practicing hard for past two weeks but still my verbal is same(in fact it reduced by 1 point, and because of it i got frustrated

like hell) Please suggest me some ways to improve my verbal so i could get 42-43.

Hi asthagupta,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you're looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How long have you studied?
2) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
3) Have you taken any of the GMAC CATs (and if so, then how did you score on those)?

4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Given your last practice CAT score, and your score goal, you're going to need to improve in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Thanks for the prompt reply,
  1) How long have you studied?  
I decided to write GMAT when i was in third year of my graduation but i started studies in full swing from this year April on wards

2) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)? 
 Yes, AWA is evaluated after 3 days(in Princeton review) so i did not get its result but my IR was 2 and 4(not giving much importance on it as ISB do not considers it as per one of the officials of ISB whose session i attended)

3) Have you taken any of the GMAC CATs (and if so, then how did you score on those)? 
 No

4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?  
i am planning to apply this year only so that i can get into college in 2017 batch

(i will complete my 2 years in IT coming September)

1) Since your class is complete, what practice materials are you using right now?
2) When did you take your last practice CAT?
3) Have you taken any of the Official GMAC practice CATs? If you have, then how did you score? If you have not, then I'd like to see how you score on one of those Exams.

Do you have the ESR from your attempt? If not, I would recommend that you get it. It's the best thing your money can buy.

Hi Astha,

Have you tried analyzing your tests to see which specific topics you're weak on? Perhaps you have trouble with Statistics and Data Sufficiency, or Problem Solving and Permutations?
