Question

It was my first GMAT score and I scored 510 with quants 46 and verbal 16.
Even though I had devoted equal attention at both the section in my preparation.

And I have score 46 in quants and 16 in verbal

my goal was to score 700 in Gmat and i am looking to give next attempt after 2 months

Raising a 510 to a 700+ will likely take at least another 3 months of consistent, guided study - and you'll have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. From what you describe, you've been focused on working through lots of practice questions, but it's not clear whether you've actually learned the proper TACTICS or not. Given your score goal, you would likely find it beneficial to invest in a GMAT Course of some type (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led).

Hitesh how good are you with verbal as basic part itself. Secondly please start with something as simple as Aristotle to make things easier for you. 16 Means that none of your sections are strong and atleast one section is sureshot disaster. Thus also get an ERS for your exam that will clear up things

With a V16, you're losing significant points in ALL 3 major Verbal categories (SC, RC and CR). While it's certainly possible to score 700+ with a Q46, you would likely find it significantly easier to hit that overall score goal by improving BOTH your Verbal AND your Quant.

From what you have described, it sounds as if your studies so far have been 'book heavy'; unfortunately, many Test Takers who use a 'book heavy' study approach end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. This is meant to say that you would likely benefit a great deal by investing in a non-book GMAT Course of some type (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led). To reiterate a prior point - you will likely need at least another 3 months of consistent, guided study to hit your score goal.

You didn't answer my prior question - and that answer is important to how we might plan out your studies going forward:

learn the concepts tested on GMAT. After learning, practice your learned section with timed practice. You can also take quizzes to meet the pace of GMAT. 1 Month for learning concepts and 15 days of practice, When completed all the concepts learning and handsome practice. Take full lenght CATs, know your estimated score. Analyze the result with Correct/incorrect questions, pacing analysis trace your mistakes and learn from them, make an error log to know your mistakes in the previously attempted questions

1. Official GMAC (50+50$)

Hi Hitesh, Do not be disheartened. GMAT does test your perseverance. 3 months should be good enough to achieve your dream score. It’s a good thing you have taken the GMAT once. You now know your weaknesses and can work on them. If you are willing to study dedicatedly for that period, you are sure to achieve your goal. I believe you may benefit from taking a GMATPREP course. If you are willing, there are some great GMAT prep companies that can help you with your preparation. In order to make an informed decision I would highly encourage you to go to their websites and try on their free trial and decide for yourself which one do you like better. You try out free access to EmpowerGMAT, Magoosh and Optimus Prep as they have great reviews on GMATCLUB. Also for verbal, I would highly encourage you to consider e-gmat verbal online or the e-gmat verbal live course. They are both amazing courses especially designed for non-natives. They offer almost 25% of their courses for free so you can try out their free trial to decide which one you want to go for. Plus the e-gmat Scholaranium which is included in both the courses is one of the best verbal practice tools in the market. I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in quant; a subscription to GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them. Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have a good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas. Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that. I would also encourage you to purchase the latest version of OG and the verbal review for some great additional practice. I want to reiterate that you will likely need 3 months of consistent, guided study - and you're going to need to significantly improve BOTH your Quant and Verbal skills to hit your score goal. 40-50 hours a week of study is likely too much; at a certain point, that volume of study will become less-and-less effective (and you'll just be simply working through lots of practice questions without improving much). In addition, that volume of study increases the likelihood that you will 'burn out' before Test Day. As such, you should plan to scale back that number a bit (and take at least one day 'off' each week).

Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.
