Studying stratergy for a limited time frame

Hi!
I have started preparing for my GMAT and I only have 1.5 months on hand to finish the preparation. I have the MGMAT official bookset as well as magoosh online module. Should I focus solely on magoosh if I have a limited time frame of study and will that be enough? I have a fairly strong quant but very weak verbal. I gave a mock before starting my studies and scored 590 (Q46 V26). Please help me out in formulating a strategy so that I can finish my preparation within 1.5 months.

Welcome to GMAT club. 590 is a good score to begin with and some people have crossed 700 mark in 1 month. So, I would say it is possible. Whether 1.5 months are enough for your preparation or not depend upon the number of hours you are going to put in your studies, target score and how (together for 3-5 hrs or in small chunks). How much course you have done till now? What is your target score? I know Manhattan SC is highly recommended followed by CR. You must study them as well. Put more focus on Verbal.

I can manage to put in around 3 - 4 hours daily for my studies. I have started my preparation just a couple of days ago. My target score is 700 - 720.

As per me, it is achievable. I wish you all the best. You should talk with the prep company (magoosh) to advise you on a custom 1 month study program to follow. Also, I recommend to give a mock on weekends to check your improvement.

Hi Rushabhjinwala,

To start, a 590 is a strong initial CAT score (the average score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). That having been said, raising a 590 to the point that you can consistently score 700+ will likely require at least 2 months of consistent, guided study - and you'll have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. With just 1.5 months though, there might be a limit to how much you can improve - so you might need to consider pushing back your planned Test Date.
