Hi Experts,

I took the GMAT this week and scored far less than my avg mock score. Particularly, quants in which I have been consistently scoring Q48-Q49. I need an expert's help in understanding my ESR.

My experience: I started solving questions as usual, but due to test day anxiety, I had to write little things which I can easily solve in my mind otherwise. Around #22-23, I realized that I have made few mistakes and felt that I need to hurry up, although I had ample time to solve all the problems. This situation made me constantly looked at the timer after each question, making it difficult to concentrate.
ESR also shows that in the last quarter I marked almost all questions wrong, but I remember 2-3 questions for which I have full confidence that I have marked them correctly.
I want to improve to a Q49 level. Please suggest how should I go about preparing for the next attempt. So far, I have solved the OG question from GMAT Club.

Attached below is data of the quants section.

Thanks in advance.

H Dan1sh,

I have recently conducted a webinar on how your performance in individual quarters will affect your overall score. You can understand a few test taking strategies as well by going through the recording below.

Having said that, I can definitely help you in analyzing your ESR. But, I would prefer to have a one-on-one discussion with you over a zoom conference call and analyze the ESR during the call itself. I think it would be much more interactive that way. I wish to know a little more background about your GMAT prep, your weak areas and the approach you used to solve questions. This information will help me understand your concerns and guide you in a better way. You can use the below link to get in touch with me.

Hi Dan1sh,

I am sorry that your test scores were not at par with your expectations. From your post it seems like it was probably on off-day. From your ESR it seems like there is a need to improve your ability in Medium-Hard & Hard questions. While you have shared progression data, it is important that you also look at the kind of questions in which you made an error. Improvement in skill level will also ensure that you are able to solve the questions within 2 minutes (I know you mentioned having to write down little things because of test anxiety). With this, I invite you to try our new Quant course which is created to deliver personalized learning at module level.

For further discussions on your prep, please feel free to reach out to us from here or on [email protected]

Regards,
Aditee
