I appeared for my GMAT on 1st June, 2021. I scored a 720 (Q49 and V39). I am looking for a score of 760+. I have scheduled my retake on 17th June 2021.
Currently I am in midst of switching jobs. My new job starts on 21st June, 2021. Hence I wanted to clear GMAT before that, since I would be having about 2 weeks to dedicated completely to GMAT.
I am attaching my ESR report. Could you kindly help me to analyze it and let me know your feedback for improvement?
To give a bit of background:
Studies:
1) How many hours did you typically study each week?
I started my prep 10 months ago but due to hectic work life, I was only getting about 1 hour on weekday and 4 hours on weekends to study. But 15 days ago, I left my job and am going to start another job on 21st June. So the past 15 days, I dedicated completely to GMAT and gave my first attempt on 1st June 2021.
I have another 14 days before my next attempt since I wanted to get it done before I start my new job.
2) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
I took 6 Manhattan CATs and all 6 GMATPREP CATs. But I made one mistake. I took 5 out of 6 GMATPrep CATS on 5 consecutive days right before my actual exam.
On Manhattan cats my score ranged from 680-700. There was one outlier of 740 and one outlier of 650.
On GMAT Prep CATs, when I first began my studies 10 months ago, I got 650 on the first CAT.
Then I took 5 more CATS right before my exam and my scores were: 750, 720, 730, 710, 710.
Quant ranged from 49-51 on the 5 GMATPREP CATs but Verbal was between 37-41.
Goals:
3) What is your overall goal score?
I am targeting a 760 or above score
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
I just graduated last year with a bachelors in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. For the past year, I was working at a Semiconductor Firm as Process Engineer.
However my new role is with an Oil and Gas Company in their Supply Chain Management Program which is a 2.5 years program with 5 rotations in different supply chain sectors in different locations around the world. After completing this program, I plan to do an MBA.
I am aiming for HBS, Stanford, MIT, Wharton and INSEAD, so I really need to push for the 760+ score given my background.
For these 14 days I was planning to do the GMATPrep Question Bank Collection posted by Souvik for RC/CR/SC and for Quant redo the GMAT Club Test Question Bank focusing on 700+ level questions.
I was also wondering whether I should cancel this 720 score or keep it?
Pls help with your advise.

Did you end up canceling your GMAT score? Also, since you have so much time before your plan to apply to schools, why are you rushing your retake?

After looking at your ESR, even though you didn't not commit a single mistake in the last quarter of verbal section, your score didn't go beyond 40.
This emphasizes his crucial first quarter is which as all know anyway.
My best guess is you've missed on an RC in the first half: your accuracy was low on RC.
Also to score 750+, your ideal score should be q51v40+
So i guess you need to push little further in DS and a little on RC and be lucky enough to not commit silly mistakes on easier questions.
