So I just took my first attempt at the GMAT, and because I have been preparing for a while i decided to take the old GMAT instead of shifting to Focus Edition. I averaged 650-670 in all my practice tests, but on the actual GMAT today I ended up with a 610.
I'm not sure of what to do next because GMAT is only there for 15 more days, and I have to get started on preparing for Focus Edition. Can someone help me figure out what to do and how i should analyze my ESR to get better. I also want to know if the schools i choose the next time can see both GMAT and GMAT FE, or just my FE scores. Since i didn't cancel the 610 I got today.
Share your ESR to help us provide you specific guidance. If unwilling to share it here, you can pm it.
Also, Focus is essentially the same GMAT syllabus (in fact, a bit less) with re-ordered questions types. So there is nothing to worry with Focus.
You can choose to cancel your Classic GMAT score (if taken at the test centre) within 72 hours of taking it if you don't want to keep the 610. If you took it online, only the schools you chose to share it with will see it. If you take GMAT Focus in the future, only the schools you choose to share that score with will be able to see it.
Here is an article on mba.com in which David Menlo discusses why keeping multiple scores (especially a previous low one

) is actually a good idea.
