Hi,
I am an Indian male, 29 years. I have already completed my MBA from Institute of Management Nirma, Ahmedabad 5 years back. I graduated with a low GPA(2.87/4) and have been working with a major Indian Telecom Brand since and have been handling their IT Operations department for the whole Country for the past three years. Have already been promoted once after my mandatory probation period and expecting my second one pretty soon. The major reason I am considering a second MBA in US or Europe is for a global exposure, which in my present profile looks like a long shot. The Other notable points about my profile are as follows:
1. I have been pretty successful in my current Job and have been won numerous awards at the company level including one from the CIO and one at industry level.
2. I already have an MBA and i understand quite a few schools "discourage' 2nd MBA applications.
3. I am targetting a GMAT score of 720 to offset for my weak Academic performance. Planning to take the GMAT in November this year.
4. I have a decent extracurricular list, (weight lifting enthusiast, Volleyball captain throughout college and university and champion all along, off and on community service)
5. I have a below average undergrad academic performance (58%)
6. I am planning to apply next year in the R1(sep 2014) round.
What are my chances in the Top 10 B-schools(LBS, Sloan, INSEAD etc.) if I get to my taget Gmat Score. Since i have plenty of time, i have decided to spend enoug time researching and writing my Essay to hope for a strong candidacy. What b school Ranks should I be realistically targeting.
