Hey Ankur,
sooooo.
1. WOW! What a GMAT!!! Go you!!!!!!
2. Your GPA is not likely as low as you think. A 72 from India is probably closer to like a 3.3 than 2.9. But don't worry about the conversion. The schools are aware.
3. If you can make an AWESOME Application, that plus your GMAT should get you into schools in the 10-30 ranking. It's a really rough evaluation, cause I am totally lacking details about your work, but it should be a good place for you to start.
And that's the basics.
