Hi Jon,

Thanks for your reply!

The following is my information. Please do let me know if there are more things you need. I am still new to this and I am not sure what information is relevant, so I will list things I think are relevant.

I received my Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an NIT (ranked just after the prestigious IITs) in India in 2010. I had a GPA of 7.69 out of 10 at the time of graduation. Immediately after that I arrived in US and completed a Master's of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona. I graduated from there in December 2012. I graduated with a GPA of 3.6 out of 4. Shortly after that I was recruited into an IT consultancy firm as a programmer analyst for web applications. My first client was University of Michigan and I worked there for a year from May 2013 to May 2014. Soon, after a couple of weeks, I was recruited to work as a senior developer on an enterprise application for the Commonwealth of Kentucky at their Office for Technology. I have been working there since June 2014 till present. I am hoping to work for a Profit Corporation on my next gig before I eventually (hopefully) start my full time MBA. I am also a a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) in web applications on the Microsoft stack.

Unfortunately, I still don't have a clear picture on what exactly I want to do post-MBA. I know that sounds like I just want to have degrees under my belt for the heck of it, but I know that I want to be in a position that helps me apply my skills and general aptitude to make an impact in the technology landscape. And an MBA will help me get a head-start  . I understand that I will need to have a much more convincing answer to the 'Why an MBA' question and I will be working on it.

As far as extra-curriculars are concerned, I participated and won at several track and field events in high school. I was also the chief editor of my university yearbook during my undergraduate program. In graduate school, I participated in a program to create a chapbook out of all the poetry I had written till then. For co-curricular activities, I have participated in robotics competitions and also learn new programming languages and social network APIs for some projects I do in my free time. As a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, I was involved in a few volunteering activities in graduate school.

Again, I think this is like a short version of a resume, but do let me know if there is any other information I am missing. It will help me in the future when asking for profile evaluations.

Thank you so much for your time!

PS : The face you see is of Pennypacker, a wealth American industrialist....

Mistah Pennypacker,

Sooo, allright basically: Your grades are fine, and NIT is a fine institution and one that is good enough for just about any school. Your grades, your GMAT, and the fact that you have US experience are all your main strengths.

The main weaknesses are:
1. Industry and Job - No that you haven't done well, but you don't wanna know how many Indian IT applicants they get, even with awesome GMATs...
2. No volunteer work - You do have some extras but nothing I can see that I would categorize in terms of community service.
3. Work experience - It's a bit on the low side and if you decide to apply now, it will likely weaken your application.

To be sure, none of the weaknesses are like MAJOR app-killers... but they are there.

For the career goals, well, you WILL have to work out SOMETHING. :)

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, just drop a line...

Best,
JF
