Hello,
Thank you in advance for the profile evaluation. Relevant statistics/background are below. I plan on applying to Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Columbia, Sloan and Chicago. As mentioned below my key concern is the relatively low quant score. Curious on how this will be viewed by various schools and what impact it may have. Considering retaking the GMAT to bring up the quant a bit, but also think my quant heavy background may be able to supplement the low quant score.
Ethnicty: White, Non-Hispanic
Undergraduate School: Top-10 Undergraduate Business Program at large state school
Undergraduate GPA: 3.8
GMAT: 730 (45Q / 45V / 8IR) -
key concern here is how low my quant score isPrior Experience: 2 years at top Boutique IB (think Evercore, Lazard, PJT), 2 years at top middle market PE fund with strong MBA placement (specifically, Harvard and Wharton)
Extracurriculars are pretty average, a few charities and undergraduate alumni related roles
Bascially: don't worry about it.
A 730 is a 730 any way you look at it.
Plus you come from a fantastic industry.
Now's the time to work on other things - i.e. your story, your resume, your application, your school research.
The GMAT is over and you did well!
Best,
Jon
