Work Experience
This is the tricky part - During my bachelor's just after my first year (in may 2018) I started a full-fledged business, a digital printing press to be precise.
I employ 6-8 Employees, my financial sales for 2019-2020-2021 have been around 8-9 million INR each year and I have filed tax returns for the same each year.
Currently possess assets of around 10 million INR in the form of machinery etc as well, initial funding was done by my family and some loans.
My responsibility ranges from selecting the location on set-up, hiring the employees to raising invoices to many sorts of things, in short, I was solely responsible for making sure that the business is a success and has been running fine as of now.
Ownership of the business is on my name.
Extra-curricular
/ In terms of extra-curricular activities
-Member of societies of colleges mainly focusing on the environment and helping economically weaker section.
-I was awarded academic price for securing 2nd position in my batch for first year
(after the first year of my bachelors I didn't took leadership roles in many societies because I couldn't commit to them, business was always challenging and my first priority, I was the first one in the family to ever practise business)
I am looking to target the following B-Schools for the class of 2022
Globally top 30 universities.
I believe that if I had the right connections and knowledge (zero commerce background till now) I would have scaled the business to a much better place, currently studying for CFA level 1 and will give it in Feb 2022. I am planning to sell the business (partially to let off some responsibility) and pursue further education in management.
I accepted that I don't have work experience and aimed for MIM, but now after some research, i realized that I can get into some good MBAs
Now the main doubt is will this Work experience of starting a business during my bachelors get accepted in top Universities if I aim to apply for MBA in Top 30 Universities globally ?
or should I continue to aim for MIM courses only. (if they consider my Work ex, I will have 4-year work ex by June 2022)
In the future, I want to get into Investment Banking (front-end role) or Management consulting to learn the large-scale economics of businesses.
I haven't worked under anyone before so would prefer a 2-year course so I can do some quality internships in the same field.
