You are welcome, and that sounds good. Yes you want to focus on the pieces of your application that you CAN STILL CHANGE, namely your GMAT (by a re-take) and your essays (which are the one part of your application where you create something from scratch to represent who you are). Work on that story of how your past plus the MBA leads to your future goals and spend time on those essays, and get feedback on them-- preferably from a) someone who knows you well, b) someone who doesn't know you at all (and ask what the essays say about the person who wrote them), and c) someone who knows business schools well, such as an MBA admissions consultant or at least a colleague with an MBA or similar if possible.
