Def sounds like you should apply to Kellogg then! As for a few other programs outside the top 8-10 or so, with your interest in your start-up you could look at Babson (often ranked first for entrepreneurship), and what about Haas-- also Bay area and good rep for start-ups and IT? McCombs, Ross? And if a certain school or set of schools is truly your 'dream' certainly go for it if you have the time to invest in creating a quality application. There are many considerations when choosing schools, including geographic region, class size, class profile, curriculum, teaching philosophy, hiring statistics/profiles, general 'feel' and culture of a school, diversity, etc.

To speak further about your profile, we do offer free 30 minute consults with one of our MBA admissions consultants, and it is simply a chance to talk through your profile more and get any q's answered. If you are interested, you can register at: https://www.mbamission.com/consult.php.

Good luck on the process!
