Hi! I am a 24 year old Japanese girl with a BS and MS in mechanical engineering. I went to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (a well respected engineering school) and got a 3.2 in my undergra d and a 3.6 in my masters. I played varsity basketball for 2 years in college and then quit because my grades weren't that great. My freshman year is what really killed me during undergrad, I was immature and suffered from poor time management. But as I got older my grades improved significantly and I made deans list my junior and senior year. I was also put into an athletic leadership program as a freshman, I was elected by my coaches and teammates. I was also captain of my HS basketball and AAU teams. I also played 2 years of club lax.
I am currently in the engineering rotation leadership program at GE, and within my program I also hold a few leadership roles. I went to Japanese school for 10 years growing up and am bilingual. I haven't taken the GMAT yet... I'm taking on June 21st (wish me luck!). I know that it can be difficult to make a profile evaluation without a GMAT score but I am SO anxious to hear what consultants may think about my profile. I can send a resume as well.
I am aiming for all top ten schools, HBS, MIT, Wharton, Booth, Columbia, Tuck and maybe Stanford (I may not apply for geographical reasons, I am more interested interested in the Northeast)
Thanks!!
