2+2 and GSB deferred hopeful! Would love thoughts on my chances and what I should focus on with the the month and a half I have left to apply
Work experience: Accepted offer with T2 consulting firm
Extra curriculars: Have extensive volunteer and leadership experience around organization that supports Hispanic high school and college students.
Undergrad school/major: Top 15, Engineering Major
Race/nationality: Hispanic (Naturalized US Citizen)
Sex:M
GMAT Score (include breakdown!): 730 (48Q 42 V) I should've done better on the Q, I messed that up!
Undergrad GPA: 3.72
Work experience: Accepted offer with T2 consulting firm

Hi, and thanks for writing! The HBS 2+2/GSB deferred programs are extremely competitive, and here's what I'd focus on:
- Clarify WHY you want an MBA at this time, for your essays - what are your ST and LT goals, and how will an early career MBA help?
- On your resume/application, fully highlight the impact you've made within that extracurricular organization (and elsewhere within college) - what are some key accomplishments you've had in your time there? AdComs are looking for exceptional extracurricular impact from 2+2/Deferred candidates, since they indicate leadership ability/potential in the absence of full-time work experience
- Your GMAT is very good, but if you do feel you can do better with minimal studying, go for it. a 48 quant score is solid, but if you felt you left points on the table, may as well give it another shot! A high overall GMAT is especially important for these programs (since they don't have as much data on your work experience, etc.)
