That's great! You could give it a shot this year, but I don't think there's a need to rush it. Taking another year will allow you to show impressive results from that project (hopefully!), build up some community leadership, and also spend some time visiting and researching your target schools.

Hi kate,

Thanks for the quick response. To shed some more context, I recently got promoted (one of the quickest promotions in my organization). I will be leading a team of 3 on a project which is set to run for 6 months. It is yet to start though, so I think it would be best if I waited another year before applying. I could use the extra time to give back to the community. There are many teach for good initiatives that are growing in popularity and seem to be a good way to round off my profile.
